What is inside

Five layers, top to bottom. The cover is a ComfortKnit MemoryQuilt Foam with Gel quilted comfort layer, so gel foam is stitched into the quilt and meets your hand first. Under it are Safe Slumber fire retardant fibers, which meet the federal open-flame standard without chemical flame retardant sprays. Then a Gel Cooling Foam layer that spreads your weight and helps move heat away. Then the ComfortVisco memory foam, the layer that does the contouring and gives the Ignite its plush rating. The base is the DualCore Support Foam Core, which keeps the bed level under all that give. There are no coils anywhere in the build.

Who it fits

Side sleepers first. Memory foam lets the shoulder and hip settle in so the spine can stay straight, which is exactly what a firm surface refuses to do. Back sleepers who like a soft top and still want support underneath will do well too, because the DualCore base does not let the plush layers bottom out. Couples get the quiet of an all-foam bed, since foam naturally limits motion transfer. It also suits a teenager who has outgrown a firm kid bed, or a guest room where you want people to sleep in.

Stomach sleepers and anyone who wants to feel the bed push back should not buy this one. A 4 out of 10 lets the hips drop when you sleep face down, and the Premier Firm or the React will hold you flatter.
