Sealy® at Mattress Overstock

Every Sealy Posturepedic® mattress, built layer by layer.

Sealy makes Posturepedic at four levels. Pick a level, a model, a build and a feel, and the bed goes together from the bottom up, at the height and layer depths Sealy publishes.

Press the bed and it gives. Point at a layer, or tap it, to see what it is.

Layer names and depths are Sealy's. A blue band in the coils marks where Sealy puts its center support. The band and the press show the idea, not a measurement.

Sealy

Cross-shopping? Tempur-Pedic is the slow memory foam feel, Stearns & Foster is the innerspring line from the same parent company, and DreamCloud makes foam-over-coil hybrids. We also have a page of Sealy hybrid and hybrid-construction mattresses, and our guide covers how long Sealy mattresses last.

Heights, layer names and layer depths are Sealy's, from sealy.com and from the product data Sealy gives its dealers. Coil counts are for a Queen. Where no depth is published for a layer, the layer list shows no number and the drawing splits the height that is left. Where Sealy's table prints a quilt foam as two numbers, such as 2 in. x 0.5 in., the page shows the first as its depth. The Posturepedic Innerspring row shows the height from our own listing.

Sealy says its Posturepedic design "reinforces the center of the mattress, so the heaviest part of your body stays supported". Its chart for the current line puts PrecisionFit coils in the center third at Posturepedic and Posturepedic Plus, and runs them edge to edge with MaxSupport Technology at Pro and Elite. The blue band in a drawing, and the press at the top of this page, show that idea. They are not a measurement. Our older Posturepedic beds use earlier coils, and show a band only where Sealy described one for that coil.

Sealy questions

Sealy mattress FAQ

Short answers, no runaround.

Which Sealy mattress should I try first?

Make the three choices in order: support tier (Posturepedic → Plus → Elite), hybrid or all-foam, then soft or firm. That usually narrows the wall to two or three beds. Side sleeper? Start with the High Point II – Soft. Stomach sleeper, or a soft bed swallows you? Start with the Albany II – Firm.

Do I need the top Posturepedic tier?

Not necessarily. Higher tiers add more coils, better cooling, and stronger edges. They aren't automatically a better feel for your body. If a Posturepedic Plus in the right firmness fits you, that's the right bed; you don't have to spend up to Elite to sleep well.

Can I try a Sealy mattress before buying?

Yes. That's the point of shopping it here. Lie on the real thing in your normal sleep position, ten real minutes, at any of our five showrooms: Lexington, Richmond, Georgetown, London, or Somerset.

What if the Sealy I buy isn't right?

Select Sealy models include a 90-night comfort trial. If the feel is not right, qualifying exchanges are for store credit toward any bed of equal or greater value. No cash refund, but no restocking-fee games either.
