The idea behind Posturepedic is real: extra reinforcement through the center third, where your hips settle first. Everything after that comes down to three choices — get these and the wall of names sorts itself out.
1. Support tier — and you may not need the top one.
Sealy goes Posturepedic → Posturepedic Plus → Posturepedic Elite. Higher tiers add more coils, better cooling, and stronger edges — they aren't automatically a “better” feel for you. If a Plus in the right firmness fits your body, that's the right bed; you don't have to spend up to Elite to sleep well.
2. Hybrid or all-foam.
Hybrid (coils under foam) sleeps cooler and holds a firmer edge — a good default for most people. All-foam hugs more and isolates motion better, but runs warmer. Same firmness, genuinely different beds.
3. Soft or firm — match this to your body, not your budget.
Side sleeper whose shoulder aches on firm beds → soft. Stomach sleeper or heavier back sleeper who sinks too far → firm. (And don't put much weight on coil count — it's mostly a marketing number. Gauge, height, and zoning matter more than how many they fit in.)
