The High Point II, with the cushion dialed down to business
Same flagship chassis as the High Point II Soft we never stop recommending to side sleepers, but this one is tuned 8 out of 10: the comfort layers are thinner and denser, so you sleep on the coil system instead of into it. If the Soft is a handshake with a hug at the end, the Firm is just the handshake. Some backs want exactly that.
What the firm tuning changes
The PrecisionFit pocketed coils and MaxSupport center zone don't change between the two: that's the part of the build doing the real work either way. What changes is everything above them. Less gel foam, packed tighter, which means your hips stay up on the surface, the cover's SealyChill cooling sits closer to your skin, and turning over takes one motion instead of a climb out of a cradle.
Who should be lying on this one
Back sleepers who wake up with a tight lower back on softer beds. Stomach sleepers, full stop: at 8/10 the pelvis stays level instead of bowing. Heavier sleepers who have learned the hard way that plush tops feel great in a showroom and disappear by month six. If you're a dedicated side sleeper, be skeptical of yourself here, and walk one bed over to the Soft before you decide anything.
Decide on your back, not in your head
Firmness numbers argue; mattresses don't. Both High Point II tunings are on our floors, a step apart, so give each one ten honest minutes in your real sleep position. The rest of the Sealy lineup is in the next row if neither lands, and if you want to feel how a value hybrid compares against the flagship, the DreamCloud wall makes a useful argument.
What makes this mattress different
PrecisionFit Coil with MaxSupport Technology
1 066 individually encased coils (Queen-size) arranged head-to-foot for natural spinal alignment and targeted firm support.
SealyChill Technology
Cooling fibers woven into the cover combined with a chill-enhanced foam layer beneath.
ComfortSense Gel Memory Foam
Premium gel memory foam layers that adapt and mold to your unique body shape layered for firm comfort.
DuraFlex Coil Edge
A reinforced perimeter edge system utilizing coils for enhanced durability and flexibility.
Same flagship chassis, less padding between you and it
PrecisionFit pocketed coils with MaxSupport center-third reinforcement, DuraFlex edges, SealyChill cool-touch cover — the High Point II hardware. The Firm simply puts less gel foam between you and the coils, packed denser, so the support reads direct instead of cushioned. Adjustable-base compatible like the rest of the family.
Firm, for spines that ask for it
Back sleepers — the 8/10 surface holds your hips level, which is what "my mattress fixed my back" stories are actually about.
Stomach sleepers — the safest pick in the High Point family; no hammocking through the midsection.
Heavier builds — denser comfort layers over the reinforced center zone keep the support honest for years, not months.
Side sleepers — probably not your bed. The Soft tuning exists for your shoulders; start there.

Frequently asked questions
How firm is the High Point II Hybrid Firm?
8 out of 10, with 10 the firmest. Direct support from the first second — there's no break-in period where it "softens up to perfect." Buy it because you want firm.
What's the difference between this and the High Point II Soft?
Identical coil system and cover; opposite comfort-layer tuning. The Soft (4/10) lets shoulders and hips sink in; the Firm (8/10) holds everything on top. Couples split on feel should lie on both — they're one step apart on our floors.
Does it work with an adjustable base?
Yes — the coil unit and DuraFlex edges are built to flex with power bases.
How fast can I get it?
Same-day pickup at any of the five showrooms when your size is on hand, or our own delivery team typically has it to you the next business day in our Kentucky service area.
What if it's too firm once I'm home?
You have 90 days. Give it three weeks first — your body needs time to stop bracing against a new surface. If it's still wrong, exchange for store credit toward any bed of equal or greater value.
