About this adjustable base
The TEMPUR-Ergo 3.0 raises the head, the foot and a separate lumbar section under your lower back. It adds lower-back massage, an anti-snore button, under-bed lights and USB-A and USB-C ports, all from a wireless remote. Tempur-Pedic now sells it as the TEMPUR-Ergo Power Base.
3.0, Smart or ProSmart?
The 3.0 runs from the remote and has no app. The TEMPUR-Ergo Smart adds automatic Snore Response, Sleeptracker-AI sleep coaching and head and foot massage. The TEMPUR-Ergo ProSmart adds Wave Form massage, SoundScape mode and the Wind Down program on top. If you want lumbar support and massage without an app, the 3.0 costs the least of the three.

Head and foot lift
Raise the head to read or watch TV, and raise the foot to put your legs up. Each section moves on its own.

Anti-snore button
One button raises the head of the bed slightly. Tempur-Pedic says this position helps open airways and reduce snoring.

Three presets you can change
Zero-G, Anti-snore and Favorite each move the bed with one press. Hold one for five seconds to save your own position on it.

Under-bed lights and USB ports
One button turns on LED lights under the bed. USB-A and USB-C ports sit on each side of the base, so both sleepers can charge a phone.

Legs that set the height
The legs set the bed flat or at 3, 6, 9 or 12 in. Take them off and the base sits on a platform bed.

How to use it
The remote, button by button
The wireless remote arrives paired to the base, and its two AAA batteries are in the box.
Head up and down. Raises and lowers the head section.
Foot up and down. Raises and lowers the foot section.
Lumbar. Adds or takes away support under your lower back.
Massage. Each press steps through low, high and off.
Zero-G. Raises your legs to take pressure off the lower back. Tempur-Pedic says to start from flat for the best result.
Anti-snore. Raises the head slightly.
Favorite. Goes to the position you saved.
Saving a position. Set the head, lumbar and foot where you want them, then hold Favorite, Anti-snore or Zero-G for five seconds. Hold Flat and Zero-G together for five seconds to go back to the factory settings.
Under-bed light. Turns the lights on and off.
Flat. Brings the base back to flat.
Child lock. Hold the Child Lock button for three seconds. The light flashes twice. Hold Child Lock and the light button together for three seconds to unlock.

Yes. Tempur-Pedic's help center links the TEMPUR-Ergo Power Base to the owner's manual for this base. Tempur-Pedic's site uses the Power Base name.
Do I need a new mattress?
Not if you sleep on a Tempur-Pedic or a Sealy. Tempur-Pedic says every Tempur-Pedic mattress works on its power bases, and Sealy says its mattresses work on Tempur-Pedic bases. For another brand, bring the mattress name to a showroom and our team can check it, or see our mattresses.
Do I keep my box spring?
No. The mattress goes right on the base, and a retainer bar at the foot of the base holds it in place.
Will it fit inside my bed frame?
Usually. Tempur-Pedic says its power bases fit inside most modern bed frames, but may not fit antique or other non-standard frames. Measure the inside of your frame and compare it with the sizes in the specifications above. The owner's manual says the frame must be rated for at least 950 lb, and if you take the legs off and set the base on a frame or platform bed, cross slats are strongly recommended.
How tall will my bed be?
Tempur-Pedic lists the base at 4 in. tall without legs and 16 in. with the legs at full height. The legs adjust in 3 in. steps: flat, 3, 6, 9 or 12 in. Take them off to set the base on a platform bed. Add the height of your mattress to find the height of the bed.
How much weight can it hold?
The owner's manual lists 700 lb in total and 250 lb per person, spread across the head and foot sections.
How do I set up a Split King?
Order two Twin XL bases. The two bases sync without a cord, so one remote can move both, and a connecting strap comes with Twin XL bases to hold them together.
Can I attach my headboard?
Yes, with a bracket kit. Tempur-Pedic does not include headboard brackets with its power bases. It sells a universal bracket kit separately.
Does it have an app or Snore Response?
No. The 3.0 runs from the remote. The TEMPUR-Ergo Smart and TEMPUR-Ergo ProSmart add the Tempur Sleeptracker-AI app, sleep coaching and automatic Snore Response. Tempur-Pedic says the bed raises once, about 12 degrees, and that this may reduce snoring in otherwise healthy people who snore because of their sleep position.
What happens if the power goes out?
A battery backup strap comes with the base. It takes two 9-volt batteries, which are not included. Connect it in place of the power supply to bring the base back to flat.
What does the warranty cover?
Tempur-Pedic backs it with a 25-year limited warranty. Years 1 to 3 cover parts and labor. Years 4 and 5 cover parts only. The metal frame is covered for 25 years.

Can I try it in a showroom?
