The Casper hybrid: Zoned Support, now on real coils

The Casper Dream is the brand's everyday hybrid: twelve inches, a true 5-out-of-10 medium, built on Casper's Zoned Support and set over a core of individually wrapped coils. It takes the breathable, ergonomic foam Casper is known for and puts springs underneath, so you get zoned alignment and pressure relief up top, plus the bounce, airflow, and firmer edge that only coils give. If you have liked a Casper but always wanted a little more life under you, this is the bed that adds it.

Zoned Support, layer by layer

Casper builds the Dream in tuned zones, not one feel everywhere. The top is Breathe Flex Foam, an open-cell layer that keeps air moving so the surface does not trap heat. Under it sits Align Memory Foam: softer around the shoulders so they settle in, firmer through the center to hold the waist and hips where your spine needs lift. That is the whole idea of Zoned Support, one mattress giving different parts of your body different things at once, so your shoulder is not fighting the firmness that holds your hips. Below the foams, Flex Coils carry the load: individually wrapped springs that each move on their own for targeted support, motion isolation, and the airflow a solid foam base cannot match.

What you notice lying down

The first thing that registers is balance. At a true 5 out of 10 the Dream does not swallow you like a plush bed or push back like a firm one, and the coil lift makes changing positions easy, the part most people feel right away coming off an all-foam bed. A medium is the most versatile firmness there is. Casper builds the Zoned Support with side sleepers in mind, so the shoulder dips while the waist and hips stay carried, and back and combination sleepers get a neutral, lifted spine. Where it is honestly not the right call: if you want a quiet, deeply contouring, sink-in feel with no bounce, a responsive medium hybrid will feel too lively, and dedicated stomach sleepers usually want something firmer to keep the hips from settling.

Dream or the all-foam One?

If you want a quiet, deeply contouring bed, the all-foam Casper One is your pick. The Dream adds coils for responsiveness, cooler airflow, and a firmer, sit-on-it edge: the better call if you share the bed, run a little warm, or just like some life under you. The short version is the One holds you and the Dream moves with you, and two people who both like Casper can land on opposite sides of that line.

Dream or Dream Max?

The Dream is a balanced medium. If you want softer and taller, a more luxurious, sink-in hybrid, the Casper Dream Max steps it up at fourteen inches; side sleepers who want plush often prefer the Max. For dedicated cooling, the Casper Snow line is purpose-built around it. See them in the full Casper lineup.

Living with it over time

The Flex Coils move independently, so when one person shifts the other side stays settled and the upper foams keep that movement controlled. The reinforced perimeter lets you sleep right to the edge or sit on the side without feeling like you might roll off, and the edge is the part of a mattress that tends to break down first. The Dream comes with Casper's soft Cozy Cover, with the cool-to-the-touch QuickCool cover available as an upgrade if heat is your main concern. It works on a platform, a slatted base with roughly three-inch gaps or less, a solid foundation, or an adjustable base, and Casper's 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects is honored on every bed sold here.

Ten minutes beats ten reviews

The difference between Casper's foam and hybrid feels is a thirty-second thing lying down. The Dream is on the Mattress Overstock floor next to the One for that side-by-side, across all five Kentucky showrooms (Lexington on Nicholasville Road, Richmond, Georgetown, London, and Somerset), no appointment needed, and the 100-night trial holds at full length buying from a local dealer. Because everyone on the floor is paid the same no matter which brand you choose, the guidance is about which bed fits your body, not which one anyone is pushing. Select your size to see the live Mattress Overstock price. Delivery is free and usually next business day when it is in stock, setup is free, and the old mattress leaves with the team.

What makes this mattress different

Zoned Support

Align Memory Foam tuned softer at the shoulders and firmer through the center: targeted spinal alignment, built with side sleepers in mind, not one feel everywhere.

Individually Wrapped Coils

Casper's Flex Coils core, where each pocketed spring moves on its own for responsive support, airflow, and a firmer edge than all-foam.

Breathe Flex Foam

An open-cell comfort layer that keeps air moving through the bed, so the hybrid sleeps cooler than dense foam.

Responsive Hybrid Feel

Coils add a gentle lift that makes it easier to change positions than an all-foam bed, with less of that stuck-in feeling.

Reinforced Edge Support

A firmer perimeter so you can sit on the side or sleep right to the edge without rolling off.

Upgradeable Cover

Comes with Casper's soft Cozy Cover; the cool-to-the-touch QuickCool cover is available as an upgrade for hot sleepers.

100-Night Home Trial

Sleep on it for 100 nights, with the trial holding at full length when you buy from us as a local dealer.

10-Year Warranty

Casper's 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, honored on every bed we sell.

The build

Zoned hybrid, layer by layer

The Dream sets Casper's Zoned Support over a coil core:

  • Cozy Cover. A soft, airy knit blend with added loft; an optional QuickCool cover upgrades it for cool-to-the-touch sleep.
  • Breathe Flex Foam. A responsive open-cell top layer that keeps air moving to prevent overheating.
  • Align Memory Foam. The zoned layer: softer around the shoulders, firmer through the center to support the waist and hips. This is Casper's Zoned Support.
  • Flex Coils. The individually wrapped coil core: targeted support, motion isolation, airflow, and a stronger edge than all-foam.
  • Durable support base. A polyurethane base that anchors the encased springs and squares the edges.

Twelve inches, a true medium (5/10), CertiPUR-US certified foams, backed by the 100-night trial and Casper's 10-year warranty. (We describe the layer architecture by name; Casper doesn't publish every layer thickness for this model.)

Who it fits

The everyday Casper hybrid

Side sleepers: Casper builds the Zoned Support with you in mind, the softer shoulder zone lets the shoulder sink while the firmer center holds the waist and hips.

Back sleepers: zoned support over coils keeps the lower back lifted and the spine neutral.

Combination sleepers: the coil lift makes turning easy, and a medium is the most versatile firmness for switching positions.

Couples: the Flex Coils isolate motion and the firmer edge gives you the whole bed.

Warm sleepers: Breathe Flex Foam plus coil airflow sleeps cooler than the all-foam One; add the QuickCool cover if heat is your main issue.

Not the best fit: if you want a quiet, deeply contouring, no-bounce sink-in feel, the all-foam Casper One suits you better; dedicated stomach sleepers usually want something firmer than a medium.

Frequently asked questions

How firm is the Casper Dream?

A true medium, about 5 out of 10, with Zoned Support that reads supportive through the hips and softer at the shoulders.

What is Zoned Support?

The Align Memory Foam layer is tuned in zones, softer under your shoulders and firmer through the center, so one mattress gives each part of your body what it needs. It's Casper's signature feature, built with side sleepers in mind.

Is the Dream good for side sleepers?

Yes. Casper designed the Zoned Support so the shoulder settles in while the waist and hips stay carried, which is exactly what side sleepers need. If you want an even plusher feel, compare the Dream Max.

Dream or the all-foam One?

The One is all foam: quiet and deeply contouring. The Dream adds Flex Coils for bounce, airflow, and a firmer edge. Feel them together to choose your base.

Dream or Dream Max?

The Dream is a balanced medium at twelve inches; the Dream Max is softer, taller (14″), and more cushioned. Side sleepers who want plush usually prefer the Max.

Does it sleep hot?

The Breathe Flex Foam and the coil core let air move through the bed, so it runs cooler than all-foam. You can add the cool-to-the-touch QuickCool cover, and if cooling is your top priority the Casper Snow line is purpose-built for it.

How tall is it, will my sheets fit?

Twelve inches. Standard fitted sheets fit fine; deep-pocket sheets are never wrong.

Do I need a special foundation?

No: a platform, slatted base (~3″ gaps or less), solid foundation, or adjustable base all work with the hybrid.

What's the warranty and trial?

Casper's 10-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects, honored buying from us as an authorized dealer, plus the 100-night trial at full length.

Can I see it near me?

Yes, on the floor across our five Kentucky showrooms (Lexington on Nicholasville Road, Georgetown, Somerset, London, Richmond), next to the One and Dream Max for a side-by-side. Free local delivery, old mattress hauled away.
